How to Wean Yourself From Compound Lifts

The only reason a person should do a compound left truly is if they're competing in compound lifts. There are much better ways to build your back than loading up and doing a barbell seal row or a penlay row, etc. All these things have their place. But in the context of what we're speaking about here, would you say that there's no real justification for it?
