The Effects of Saturated Fats on Weight Gain

Fructose alone can cause fatty liver pretty well, but it doesn't cause a lot of weight gain in the absence of fat. But when we did a study with saturated fat and fructose, what we found is that if we gave fructose, we got pretty good fatty liver. And if we gave them together, we got modest, mild fatty liver. That's what I'm going to say, I have to correct myself. We gave high fat diet alone, we got mild fatty liver, high fat diet plus fructose, wegot severe fatty liver.
