Baptism is not absolutely necessary for salvation, but it is ordinarily necessary for salvation. So i think thisis a fair representation of the lutheran view. As you point out, that's not just something that's unique to lutherans. I mean, even in the roman perspective, ah, there is certainly goingto be exceptions.
