PTSD - What Is Cognitive Processing Therapy?
Sally Kohn: My therapist told me that I have PTSD around my dad's death. She was also the person who found him when he was found too. That's part of the PTSD as well. He recommended a thing called cognitive processing therapy, which has been developed by Veterans Affairs Department to help soldiers coming back from war with PTSD. It actually works really well with all sorts of folks who have PTSD. In fact, they started using it with survivors of sexual assault as well.
