When we think about non monogamy or polyamery, especially we're new to it, we tend to see it as something kind of monolithic. It's like well, everyone doing it must be doing it the same way and i just need to figure out what that is. Or, you know, if this community isn't for me, then then this whole thing must not be for me. All that stuff combines into us feeling like we need to be kind of performing all the time.
