At around 25 hundred b c. Horses were still rarely found in much of central europe, the middle east and the indian sub continent. The chariot technology was quickly adopted throughout the western world but initially it gave the indo europeans a major military advantage. Horse drawn chariots could literally run circles around their opponents with one person driving the chariot and another launching arrows. And they eventually established the persian empire and the early inda civilization in india.
