The Psychodynamic Perspective on Panic Attacks

The fear of having a panic attack makes us constrict and that cognitive error really, really needs to be challenged. This is an internal phenomenon not caused by an external world situation. As cultures shift back and forth between these various cultural ideals, parts of ourselves get massively repressed. Freud observed that when instinctive satisfaction is totally blocked, there is an enormous buildup of unsatisfied instinct which takes on a toxic character.
