The Future of Genetic Engineering
In the US, it's all method dependent. And that applies to enzymes or any sort of, if you're extracting one recently that was up that I saw as miracle fruit or miracle berry. That goes through the same regulatory framework as our engineered yeast. People are exploring the use of genetic engineering for crop resistance, disease resistance. It's a little bit more complicated as Lauren Avi touched on that genomic structure, including with hops as well. Still, it's really complicated. But there is that idea of these type of techniques would be really helpful for climate change, with disease, with drought, any kind of heat resistance.
