How to Work With Shame

Our brain goes through a whole remodeling and restructuring, but also really important to think about that period of your life. If there has been any destruction or damage to parts of the brain affected by trauma then those existing neurons and their synaptic connections essentially kind of stay in the little garden that has been created or modeled. Good thing about that though is by doing the work, seeing a therapist doing attachment trauma based work, those neural circuits can be rewired so it doesn't mean that through this remodeling period your brain stays that way forever.
