How to Create a False Memory

False memories can come up for really simple ideas and they can also become more rich over time. One is when you just activate some of this semantic information at the time of, let's say, trying to retrieve information. Other ways in which we can have false memories involve scrambling of different percepts. And then on top of that, if you have a really good mental imagery, or hallucinogenic drugs, it might make your memory seem very vivid again.
