The Relationship Between Service Design and Governance
When thinking about design engagements, I often think of them as projects to be undertaken. Service design has slightly got a bad rep in that sense of being 'all you guys just come up with a load of kind of journey maps and blueprints but never execute on them' And so it's just kind of ever, ever going changing thing. If you think of government services like, I don't know, applying for a passport or going to jail or visiting people in jail, that's not a thing it's ever done. It's just always changing.
