The most serious epileptic episode that I've experienced thus far in life was in 2017. It took me a long time to come back to a fully functional person and continue on in my graduate studies. My dissertation research is about understanding the mechanisms by how epilepsy develops in the brain, specifically temporal lobe epilepsy.
