How Do You Teach Your Nana Self Care?
i was struck by so many of the things that the two talked about, but one of the things that just gutted me was when your nana said self care was taboo for her growing up. And what i heard her say in that episode, about how she can call a friend and stel her friend treandemit no less risk, because she was describing that experience of feeling isolated. It's an act of community care, an community service. So that is what i teach not only her, but hopefully every one who encounters my work,. i'm also talking about how far reaching being am cared for internally is to our external communities....
