The Need for Users Search Vocabularies

This notion that searching effectively is not something that we do intuitively points to two separate but related directions. People like everyday people who are just using these things perhaps need to embark on a course of I don't know if to call it like self education to become better searchers. Can we become more literate searchers? Oh, I certainly think we can. There are things straight forward, things that people could do right now. But at the same time, it's frustrating in this field because the HCI people are mostly psychologists.
