The practice of virtue consists in not engaging in the kinds of speech, action, or livelihood that are unwholesome. This is not something that is a direct result of mindfulness. You can use mindfulness to train yourself in wholesome behavior. It weakens your enslavement to the compulsions of desire and aversion. And so you're loosening somewhat the attachment that you have to self.
