The Connection Between Sugar and Behavior
The idea that sugar makes kids hyperactive was huge when we were coming up and it's only gotten bigger in the years since. The first time we hear in scientific literature a connection between sugar and behavior is 1922. There are some schools now that have rules about only bringing sugar-free snacks.
