If you take somebody who enjoys doing say higher reps or whatever, their amount of voluntary effort is going to be higher. And thus, they get the volume of mechanical tension that's needed for muscle growth. I don't think physiologically there's anything happening mechanistically that's any different. So ultimately, I think really it's just motivation. That was 100%. What I arrived at when somebody asked me that I said, all I think that is going on,. The only thing that occurs is that the motivation to do one particular type of training is higher for an individual.
