The Swing Away From Four Quinolones

Four quinolones are one of the most commonly prescribed antibiotics, particularly in the outpatient setting. The FDA has issued warnings for tendinitis, myosynia gravis exacerbation, peripheral neuropathy and eortic aneurysm rupture. They're also strongly associated with an increased risk of C. diff infection. Like many other hospitals, we've really focused on unnecessary use of fluoroquinolones.
