Comparative Suffering and Shame
Shame depends on me buying in to the belief that I'm alone. Compassion, empathy, infinite. It grows exponentially. If you have shame because your boss ridiculed you and belittled you in front of your colleague, that needs to heal too. We rank order suffering. Well, it's a comparative suffering. And the thing is compassion is not a pizza. It's not finite. In order for you to get some, I need less. You've created an environment that is hostile to shame. Shame cannot survive being spoken. It cannot survive empathy.
