Is There a Cosmos?

Aristotle thinks that time is infinite and the cosmos has always existed. All species of animals are eternal as well, according to Aristotelian philosophy. Time couldn't possibly have had a beginning because it would need some triggering motion before its supposed start. The way this cosmos is constructed is permanent in Aristotle's view.
