Overthinking about movement, PTs or athletic trainers can put people in danger. We know that an internal focus of attention isn't good for flexibility and adaptability. And I think by pushing people to worry about the particular way they need to move, you're actually putting them in more danger. There's evidence that people that express less movement variability are more prone to injury.
