Paris - The Revaillon Riot
With the elections for the states general progressing into march and april enteen 89, the kingdom continued to be plagued by food shortages and general unrest. In many places, the sheer fact of listing the grievances was believed to impart some defacto legality to the proposed reforms. But they exploded most violently in paris itself with the revaillon riot when a business man said that price controls on bread needed to be ended. The battle cry of the rioting workers was, the king the third and necare.
