Lactate Shuttling: How It Improves Performance
Lactate shuttling is the idea that when you do a hard interval session, it's better to activate those lactate shuttles. And this is why warmups before time trial or short run should be done with glycolis in mind. Because only then can you bring the lactate from the fast- twitch fibres into the slow-twitch fibres and use it there as a fuel.
