A lot of people are afraid to ask this question because they don't want to scare somebody away. You're not asking, do you want to have a longterm relationship with me? You're saying, is that what you're ready for? When I meet the right person, I'm ready to invest in someone. And you're only going to scare away people that aren't on that same page, which is a good thing. If it's going to be a deal breaker, you want to know now rather than like sharing your mind, soul, body with someone.
