The Role of Resting Heart Rate in Fitness

You need to differentiate that long term improvement and fitness from trying to figure out what's going on with fatigue. You're also going to have a bit of a training effect where as you get fitter you're going to see a more responsive heart rate at the start of exercise and at the end of an effort. I don't have a lot of practical experience with it other than a little bit that I've read in the literature. There is a recent paper out that looked at elite Rose, who had championship Rose, only effectively a case study of four Rose. They indicated that resting heart rate was important and the individual responses in these athletes was quite important.
