Market Segments Versus Personas
The way I personally the way I've gotten to think about it over time is market segment is not something I think about day to day. There was a point in time when especially in the early days of a product where if I don't know the different personas well enough with enough details I just think about it as a segment as a whole. After you know once the product reaches maturity and beyond products markets fit they just diverge. Over time if we're deciding for example to go after a completely different segment or a new market then we revisit the personas and create brand new ones.
