The index of where your character is isn't turn based. It's only the attack and registering of the attacks. So typing faster doesn't change anything because if you hit a bunch of attacks, it's only going to take one anyway. With the exception I believe in most cases of movement where if you are very fast, you can move very quickly through the world. The social aspect was mostly mysterious people with weirdly horny descriptions of characters,. like walking around, killing random things.
