I always recommend that people don't write for their company. As you shift vertical to vertical, your audience becomes less important if you only write about what your company says. What I recommend people do whenever they ask me about getting started is pick a topic you could talk about for 30 minutes completely unprepared and go out and write about that topic every day. And then just watch your audience because your audience will start to ask questions, the last clarifying questions.
