If A necessarily entails B or two things are correlated with an R of like .95, you can have a lot more faith in that than if D, E and F also influence B. So yeah, the fewer things that also influence outcome you're interested in and how directly and necessarily causal those two things are, are going to have a really, really large impact. But on a rationalist level, we know that cross bridges between actin and myosin are what calls muscle contraction. And so getting bigger is probably going to help it contract harder. That's a pretty strong rationalist argument.
