Desirable Difficulty in Practice
The concept of desirable difficulty is Robert Bjork's and he refers it refers to types of practice scheduling that make things desirable difficult. There's a slight difference necessarily between desirable difficulty and the difficulty of practice which I'm sure is really helpful to everybody who's being introduced this for the first time. What we're looking for is robust sticky learning thatWe can see that is likely to occur as a result of context optimally done through desirable difficulty. Robin: A high performance player who is low performing at a particular skill might really benefit from some low variability highly blocked practice to support their learning.
