What Is P-Hacking?
The p-value is this probability that you would have observed your measurements under the assumption that your initial hypothesis was true. In a lot of fields, and this isn't the way that it's supposed to be used, people are reverse engineering their results in order to get them published. Just because you have a significant p-value does not mean you get published; just because you have an insignificant p-value doesn't mean you don't.
