Piety is prosecuting anyone who is guilty of murder, sacrilege, or any similar crime. The problem is determining what are those things that are dear to the gods and what are thoseThings that are not dear to the god. If we can't know those things then it's a principle that means nothing. And so it says, all right, fine. Here's a better definition. Piety is what is dear to the goddesses; impiety is that which is not dear to them.
