The Benefits of Strength Training
When you're a beginner, risk versus reward is amazing. You get stronger. So long as your form is good, the risk is really low. But when you're getting like really strong, if you keep pushing strength, you have a margin of error to where you're safe and you or you become injured at point one degree. And then the payback that you get from it is so incremental that it's much less than in an athletic endeavor with more explosive training. If you never train that way, you're always chasing strength all the time.
