The second tactic is, i think, my favourite. It seems like at of you'dagree, but it seems to me like one of the most powerful tactics on the list. And it's just the word validate. Validate what people are sayingut what does that mean? So we talked about the definition of empathy and how it means simply acknowledging that what the other person thinks and does make sense from their perspective. You can make that known by when they say something toyou simply replying with, no, that makes sense. That is a profoundly powerful phrase, because it gives them permission to keep sharing.
