Are You Being Honest?
i have found that really helpful to frame it in this honesty framework. I worked a 12 step programme at ellenon for a long period of time, and my sponsor was absolutely amazing. She used to say like, are you being honest? Because can you actually show it for this person? And i was like, omy god, it's not about me being selfish. It's about me being honest and having enough love and compassion and trust,. Like, let this person go and get their needs meant elsewhere. Ye, absolutely definitely love with boundaries.
