Advantages and Limitations of LSTM and Introduction of XLSTM

This chapter discusses the advantages and limitations of LSTM and introduces XLSTM as an improved version that combines the ability to extract important characteristics and ideas of words with the ability to precisely store every word using exponential gating and vectorization. XLSTM is claimed to outperform transformer technologies like GPTs.
