The idea that with a zero sum idea of negotiation, the amount of value is fixed. So I can feel comfortable and good in my home. But people, we lose track of that. And so we create all this antagonism, even when that antagonism is costly to us. If we say yes to the patio, it's not clear that we're the victors. We sort of have to give up.
