The cause effect is very tenuous, especially if you're managing money for other people and they hear the news. And just as an example, the recent story with some tech companies that are laying off a lot of people - those stocks actually end up going up on the days when they announced the layoffs because people see it as a cost saving. You never know which one will be the leading factor. The book made me more adhesive out watching daily news that focuses so much on the higher abstraction.
