An anxious person's primary work is in self-regulation and self-focused, pivoting from focus on the other back to focus on the self. Contrast this with the Avoidant Persons Primary work which is in co-regulation because their ability to be with self is pretty well developed. They are going to give you plenty of opportunity to work on that growth edge, which is being by yourself or being able to self-soothe.
