The Bad Decision to Kill a Bad Idea
I don't think we've been pretty good at killing bad ideas because we didn't have that many people use and they sell well, but we did consider doing a hexclad air fryer at one point. When we launched Gordon Ramsey, we got talked into doing the YouTube masthead for like 200 K to announce the launch. And we really had no way of understanding whether that was good or not. It would have been better to take that 200 K and do better things with YouTube. The other one is even dumber. So Black Friday, 2021 bidding on like black Friday deals or something generic like that. That was just, I mean, driving tons of horrendous traffic to our site.
