Advertising is a waste of money for the advertiser, since it doesn't sell anything. Most people who do advertising with squawking emus and babbling gecos don't really get too specific about how their ad fect sales. Not knowing if it works is the same as advertising not working at all. With direct response advertising, it's measurable. And when it's done right, it does work. But i think we know about measurable advertising and return an ad spend. Bottom line, small businesses and businesses that depend on their advertising entirely for new customers need their adds to work.
