The B2B companies that kill that people die for they take a page out of the D2C book. When Slack is pushing their next dev update and they don't have any in their app, they write the little love note to their customer instead of nothing. It's worth more to Slack than any feature update than any piece of press. The only thing difference is the pain that they're experienced but if you just connected to a basic human level pain everybody has a basic humanlevel pain that they want to fit in.
