What Is High Quality Protein?

Protein for whatever reason is like the black sheep of the macronutrient family uh i don't know if you've experienced it that way but i certainly haven't um. By definition a high quality protein is high in the essential amino acids and those are amino acids that we must get from our diet. There's certain scoring systems that make a protein high quality versus low quality so this is a very long winded way of saying what is the difference between a high quality and a low quality protein. It does become a challenge to use whole foods alongside carbohydrate intake because you have to watch the carbohydrate intake with an athlete or someone who is younger than them.
