What Is the Difference Between Short Term Memory and Working Memory?
Our short term memory is the part of our mind that holds the things you are thinking about right now. The working memory is a theory developed from short term memory. Working memory allows us to hold information for a short period of time, manipulate it and send it to and from the long term memory. Cognitive load refers to the amount of information that requires our ension. It is the demand that is being placed on the working memory to process that information.
