I think I got it from reading something of yours, which is that we tend to think, well, self-compassion is just giving yourself whatever you want. And what I found is that holding myself accountable is fine and is actually really important and I need to do it. It's not so much content a lot of times, although content's important, a lot of it for me is tone. Of course, tone often conveys the intention, but you can really feel it if the intention is a supportive, constructive one, or if theintention is to shame or harm you in some way.
