Next, give yourself at least one day per week of no vigorous physical activity whatsoever. This will greatly improve your recovery more than just about anything else you could do. And on the strength training side of things, I generally recommend no more than five strength training workouts per week. That's a pretty high frequency program. For many people, three to four strength training workouts may make more sense given their goals and circumstances.
