How to Negotiate a Pay Range for a New Job
If you're interviewing for a new job, try to get some information about your pay range. Don't conflate where you are with what the company is looking at in its compensation philosophy. If they offer you 120 but their pay range goes from 115 to 150, it's safe to ask for your walk away. A lot of companies have stock policies that cover every loss bonus opportunity.
