She was diagnosed in July, just after her 70th birthday. By the time they found it, it had already progressed to her liver. And we were looking for surgeons who would operate on her liver. When they told us it's not operable, that's when we knew. That was so, so hard. I think there was a stoicism, which both my parents showed. But with me and my brothers, perhaps they're a bit more emotional and wanted to do something and control it and manage it.
