The Hixon Study on Concurrent Training

The Hixon study was one of the very first papers to look at what's called concurrent training. Concurrent training is doing both strength and endurance training at the same time. So check this out: The strength group, their one rep max squat went up 44% or 42 kilos on average. After the eighth week, it actually started to decrease.
