Bob Armstrong had worked with Dick Taylor and knew him quite well. He put in a good word for Peter, who ended up being there for 10 years. The lab was 65 acres with paddocks for large animals - cheetahs, wolves, kangaroos,. emus, ostriches. And we ran all of these things, often with undergraduates on treadmills. "You've always got to just find a way to get the animal to do it," he said.
